Gaby David est uruguayenne et vit à Paris. Elle termine actuellement un doctorat au sein du Laboratoire d’histoire visuelle contemporaine, Lhivic, à l’École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, EHESS. Avec une maîtrise en Arts Plastiques et une forte formation en danse-théâtre, elle a participé à de nombreuses expositions, performances et spectacles. A Paris, elle a enseigné à la Parsons School d’Arts et Design, et est aussi professeur de langues modernes. Au cours de ces deux dernières années, elle a participé à diverses conférences internationales et à plusieurs séminaires, centrant sa recherche sur le champ visuelle mobile et a contribué à de nombreuses publications. Elle codirige le séminaire « méthodologique doctoral » au sein du Lhivic et fait partie du comité éditorial de rédaction de Culture Visuelle  – le premier media social d’enseignement et de recherche, où elle tiens aussi son propre blog. Elle a participé à un projet parrainé par l’Association Nationale de Recherche qui étudie l’état de l’art à l’ère numérique.

Gaby David es uruguaya y vive en Paris, donde cursa un doctorado en el Laboratorio de historia visual contemporanea, Lhivic, en la Escuela de Altos Estudios en Ciencias Sociales, EHESS. Portadora de un Master en Bellas Artes y con una profunda formación en danza-teatro ha participado en numerosas exposiciones, performances y espectaculos. En Paris ha enseñado en la Parsons School de Arte y Diseño, inglés y español. En el curso de los ultimos dos años ha sido invitada y ha participado en conferencias y coloquios internacionales, centrando sus investigaciones en el estudio del campo visual mobil, contribuyendo a numerosas publicaciones. En el Lhivic codirige el grupo de estudios metodológico de doctorantes y es parte del equipo éditorial de la primera plataforma social de enseñanza y de investigación francesa : Culture Visuelle, donde mantiene su propio blog. También ha participado en un proyecto patrocinado por la Asociacion Nacional de la Investigacion sobre el estado del arte en la era digital.

Gaby David, Uruguayan, living in Paris, currently completing a PhD at the Laboratoire d’Histoire Visuelle Contemporaine, the LHIVIC, at the École des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, EHESS. At the Lhivic she co-directs the methodological seminar for PhD candidates. Gaby holds a Masters degree in Fine Arts and a strong danse-theatre background. Her portfolio includes numerous art exhibitions, performances and shows. Gaby holds a TEFL’s (Teacher of English as a Foreign Language) degree and has been teaching English and Spanish for already more than ten years. She has also taught at the Parisian Parsons School of Arts and Design. During the last two years she spoke at a number of international conferences (Engagement and Exposure, Budapest, 2nd Digital Cultures, Manchester, HITI Sorbonne, Paris, Chinese University of Hong Kong) and participated in several seminars, centering her research on the visual mobile mediascape. At the Lhivic she is part of the editorial board Culture Visuelle, the first French social media teaching and research platform, where she holds her own blog, being part of its Editorial Advisory Board. She has also participated in a project sponsored by the French National Research Association that studies the state of the arts in the digital era.
